Established in 1970, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is leading the nation's environmental research, education and assessment initiatives. The agency releases annual Performance and Accountability Reports. Reports from 2001 on are available in pdf format, the latest covering the fiscal year 2009. Section 2, Performance Information, presents the performance measures corresponding to each strategic goal set by the agency (see link below).
